POP!ness

Saturday 26th July at Wolf & Badger, 32 Dover Street, London, saw the launch of Sarah Ho Pop! Bracelets 🙂 Luckily for me and fellow blogging babies we were invited to the launch party! Alco-pops (and non alcoholic drinks) were served along with yummy cake lollies on offer to all customers. Wolf & Badger was decorated in accordance to the Pop!ness theme and everyone was in a joyful summers day mood… Perfeccccct. The designer, Sarah handed out POP! Bracelets to all bloggers; I chose a large Orange bracelet with the yellow gold detail. Actually I loved them so much I bought two more! I have worn them everyday since. I don’t use the poppers as my wrists are pretty small so I just slip them on and I’m good to go! The bracelets are cute, funky, colourful and are perfect for stacking. They can be worn alone, kept casual or in addition to your other bracelets for a quick burst of colour! There are 18 styles and 6 different colours to chose from. All bracelets have metal poppers attached in either a silver, yellow gold or a rose gold finish. I enjoyed meeting the designer Sarah, she is warm, friendly and passionate about her brand. I have to admit, Sarah’s Brand SHO is to die for. Sarah showcased another one of her collections at the event which I also loved, it is elegant, classy and timeless… But don’t take my word for it… Check it out yourselves https://www.wolfandbadger.com/designers/sarah-ho-sho/

Food Festival On Carnaby St. & Summer Sundays on Regent St.

As a self confessed foodie of course I was going to make my way over to the first food festival taking place on Carnaby Street, Sunday 20th July between the hours of 11am – 6pm.

image

There was 30 of the area’s best restaurants, bars and cafés who brought along their top notch dishes out onto the streets of Carnaby
It was free to attend and there was a range of £5 taster dishes, one day only offers and free food stands such as ice creams (obviously I made a beeline for the ice cream que… My chosen flavour was Crème brûlée… Mmm

There was also a series of expert cooking demonstrations led by presenter and foodie Hardeep Singh Kohli which was interesting to watch and I was able to pick up a few tips.

image[6]

I went to check out all the awesome dishes with a couple of girl friends and my brother. We were around the area (Carnaby St. & Regent St. for a couple of hours). Regent St. was also closed off for catwalk shows, dance acts, live music was playing along with various other cool attractions such as a Pimms bus and man made garden.

Marbella Ocean Club… My 1st Champagne Spray :O

Over the May bank holiday my girl friends and I headed to Marbella for 6days to let off some serious steam and party in sun 🙂

On Sunday 26th May, I lost my champagne spray virginity after paying crazy money for entry to the Ocean Club spray party! My girlfriend and I got to the party quite late; 4pm to be exact… This was partly due to us being lazy, relaxing in the sun, sipping on the amazing fresh cocktails at Sala Beach. The day party at Ocean Club starts from 10am until 8/9pm – this is more or less when everyone leaves. The champagne spray starts at 6pm and its basically thousands of people going chicken oriental with a bottle of Dom Perignon. It is completely OTT and full of show offs but it was good fun and I’m glad I went to experience it for myself 🙂

I was bull charged into the pool so the majority of photos I managed to take with caution on my iPhone 5s, I look soaked in… Oh I was completely drenched in champagne by a handful of delightful souls 🙂 I didn’t mind and several occasions bombed into the pool myself… Good job I went pretty natural; I didn’t have any eyelashes on/much makeup/hair extensions. phew… But I did feel slightly under glammed (even for me) so if I ever go again I think I will go all out… just for fun 😀

My prayers have been answered… A La Marmite Cupcake

OK… so yesterday here I was banging on to people around me about how I am jumping back on the healthy bandwagon bla bla gym bla fitness bla protein this superfood that… zzzz

Well this morning Benjamin (the eldest of my four brothers… but younger than me) decided to corrupt me with a marmite cupcake! OH EM GE

I have been looking forward to, firstly finding somewhere that sells this bad boy AND secondly munching it.

SO whether this sickens you or not my conclusion is: freaking amazing!

This Love IT or Hate IT treat is a combination of yeast/salt/sweet/chocolate/caramel deliciousness.

I advise… no, actually I order all marmite heads to get yourself down to Lola’s and purchase this beaut of a concoction.

Currently stocked in several Lola stores. You can pick up your marmite treat at Selfridges, Topshop Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Brent Cross, Bluewater, King’s Cross Station and at the chain’s flagship store in Mayfair. It is only available for a limited time; four weeks to be precise. So hurry your cupcake cake sugar loving bubble butt on down to one of these store asap.

Into the Unknown… Becks on BBC1

Last night I was busy flicking channels when I came across David Beckham: Into the Unknown on BBC1. I decided to give it a go and watch the programme; which I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed.

This time last year I met him (and John Travolta) at the Breitling Bond St. Flagship store launch and I can honestly say he is one of nicest coolest ‘celebs’ I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

He turned up on time, spoke to everyone and happily posed for billions of pictures.

Heck, he didn’t even mind that I kept him waiting outside the ONLY toilet in the store whilst I carefully reapplied my red lippy for about 10minutes… Unbeknownst to me DB was patiently waiting for my ass to hurry up. Slightly shocked when I walked out and I get wind of the fact I had made him ‘wait’ by his PA …  ‘oops sorry’ 🙈

David said not to worry and to take as long as I needed… Seeeeee he gets it 😎 Clearly a girls gotta look good for Becks…. Who is just as HOT in the flesh as he is in his pictures…. Even if he is slightly too short for me.

Getting Ma’ Juice Ownnnn

If anyone knows me well enough, they would know I love all things fruity, sweet and scrumptious! I am particularly obsessed with trying out new ‘fads’ especially when it comes to food and drink.

Luckily enough I was able to try out a few funky new flavours from an exciting new brand called Chogazpacho!

Each juice is a mix between sweet and savoury which includes 2 of your 5 a day. They are low in sugar and salt, contain 180calories per bottle and are made from all natural ingredients. The juices are bottled into glass which is good for recycling junkies like myself 🙂

On first glance… A tomato and strawberry juice looks a little strange… Hmm what a weird combination…But alas is totally works, and whats more it tastes freaking awesome!

image-13

Im a sucker for Beetroot regardless so this was always going to be a winner…

Beetroot & Apple.

image-12

Lastly my taste buds were treated to the glorious Pepper and Tomato combo! Which, I have to say was my favourite juice out of the 3. It totally works and both flavours go together perfectly.

But don’t take my word for it… try it them out for yourself

Fun fact I didn’t know…… Tomatoes, peppers and olives are all fruits?!?

Miss Earth 2013… * Feeling Blessed *

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick message to say….

I would like to personally thank all of you for supporting me in my reign of Miss Earth England 2013. Lucky for me I still have 5 months left to enjoy being your Earth Queen!

Some of you have supported me since the beginning of my pageant days. It has been a long yet fun and rewarding journey and I am pleased I have done it the long way and finally earned a worthy national title! Some of you have been overwhelmingly generous donating to the various charities I have raised for in the last 4 years and for that I am eternally grateful. Charity work has always been a top priority of mine. In the past few years I have had to privilege to raise thousands of pounds for Help the Heroes, Children’s Variety Club, Beauty with a Purpose, Joshua Foundation, Comic Relief, Aids, Lavender Trust, Breast Cancer Awareness, Maggie’s Cancer Centre, RSPCA Leybourne, Retinitis Pigmentosa and The Hemraj Goyal Foundation.

I am positive I have worked hard so far as your Miss Earth England 2013 and will always be so honoured to have worn the crown. I have just under 5 months left until I will pass the crown over to a new Miss Earth England who I’m sure will not only be beautiful but intelligent, caring and will bring the title/pageant great justice.

I have made some amazing friends from all around the world and built up so many superb memories!

Ladies… Please enter the Miss Earth England 2014 competition for an Opportunity of a life time

Murad ‘Pom Power’ Pore Cleansing Facial

Recently my skin has broken out in all kinds of disgusting lumps and bumps… I seriously needed to get my ass marching to the nearest Facial experts. I decided to scour the internet to see what deals I could find. There are some great offers if you delve deep. I came across a super cool site called Wahanda and managed to squeeze in an appointment with Murad in their beauty room at House of Fraser, 318 Oxford Street for a Pom-Power Pore Cleansing Facial:

The perfect pick-me-up for skin of all ages. This facial uses the wonderful Vitalic range of products from Murad, which harness the powerful anti-oxidant effects of the Pomegranate fruit to energise and renew your complexion. This facial includes a gentle peel which will help to brighten and resurface your skin. This facial is suitable for all skin types and is a very good facial for younger clients.’

The whole process lasts about 40minutes and I was generally really happy with the outcome. My therapist Natasha, was warm, friendly and passionate about her job, she got straight to work on my face without any 10-15minutes flaffing about like a few therapists I have come into contact with over the years tend to do. I was impressed with her knowledge of the products and her professionalism. Natasha also took off all my makeup (most therapists leave my mascara on) and I left with my skin positivity glowing. I would definitely recommend this treatment and I hope to go back again soon 🙂
