POP!ness

Saturday 26th July at Wolf & Badger, 32 Dover Street, London, saw the launch of Sarah Ho Pop! Bracelets 🙂 Luckily for me and fellow blogging babies we were invited to the launch party! Alco-pops (and non alcoholic drinks) were served along with yummy cake lollies on offer to all customers. Wolf & Badger was decorated in accordance to the Pop!ness theme and everyone was in a joyful summers day mood… Perfeccccct. The designer, Sarah handed out POP! Bracelets to all bloggers; I chose a large Orange bracelet with the yellow gold detail. Actually I loved them so much I bought two more! I have worn them everyday since. I don’t use the poppers as my wrists are pretty small so I just slip them on and I’m good to go! The bracelets are cute, funky, colourful and are perfect for stacking. They can be worn alone, kept casual or in addition to your other bracelets for a quick burst of colour! There are 18 styles and 6 different colours to chose from. All bracelets have metal poppers attached in either a silver, yellow gold or a rose gold finish. I enjoyed meeting the designer Sarah, she is warm, friendly and passionate about her brand. I have to admit, Sarah’s Brand SHO is to die for. Sarah showcased another one of her collections at the event which I also loved, it is elegant, classy and timeless… But don’t take my word for it… Check it out yourselves https://www.wolfandbadger.com/designers/sarah-ho-sho/

My prayers have been answered… A La Marmite Cupcake

OK… so yesterday here I was banging on to people around me about how I am jumping back on the healthy bandwagon bla bla gym bla fitness bla protein this superfood that… zzzz

Well this morning Benjamin (the eldest of my four brothers… but younger than me) decided to corrupt me with a marmite cupcake! OH EM GE

I have been looking forward to, firstly finding somewhere that sells this bad boy AND secondly munching it.

SO whether this sickens you or not my conclusion is: freaking amazing!

This Love IT or Hate IT treat is a combination of yeast/salt/sweet/chocolate/caramel deliciousness.

I advise… no, actually I order all marmite heads to get yourself down to Lola’s and purchase this beaut of a concoction.

Currently stocked in several Lola stores. You can pick up your marmite treat at Selfridges, Topshop Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Brent Cross, Bluewater, King’s Cross Station and at the chain’s flagship store in Mayfair. It is only available for a limited time; four weeks to be precise. So hurry your cupcake cake sugar loving bubble butt on down to one of these store asap.

Early Mothers Day Treat

I had been secretly planning a surprise night out (and hotel stay) for Mum for a couple of weeks. As we are both always busy on the weekends… the only date we were both available was 14th- 15th March. So It was an early Mother’s Day gift 🙂

First, I surprised her with a FAMILY sized suite at the Mayfair Hotel, complete with two QUEEN beds (ahhhhmazingggg) It was our first time staying in the Mayfair. The Hotel was just breath taking…. ahhh I wish I could live there!

Next we had some lunch and had a bottle of white before letting on to her I had booked double makeovers at Benefit in Carnaby Street!  Our makeup session lasted an hour and half (partly due to my purple smokey eyes taking foreverrrr). After I bought a few products for us both and luckily we had just enough time to dash into Zara so I could grab an outfit for tonights dinner. We strolled back looking ‘oh so glam’ to the Mayfair Hotel where I presented her with prosecco, macaroons, a card and present (a cute LBD) 🙂

We put on our glam rags, I straightened Mum’s hair and I had already curled my the night before (which was a god send and saved me so much time having to do it).

We were picked up in a Rolls Royce at 8:45pm outside the Mayfair Hotel… (NICE) and dropped off at 5 Hertford St. – Lou Lou’s * a private members club *

We met my friends in the Martini Bar, had a cheeky cocktail then popped downstairs for dinner, champagne and unlimited amounts of wine. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered around 10 starters to share which included Tuna Tartar, Lobster, Prosciutto, various Salads, Breads, pasta, Zucchini, pasta and various other fish and meat dishes. I had the black cod which has got to be my FAVOURITE dish at the moment… it tasted like a slice of heaven! Mum had Sea bass and for desert we had a creme brûlée tart 😀

After dinner we headed to the night club in Lou Lou’s were we danced the night away with champagne and a few Baileys.

We were dropped off at the Mayfair Hotel in the early hours of the morning in the Rolls Royce….

The day/night could not have been any more perfect. It was exactly what I imagined 🙂 YAY I had the best time and from what I could see Mum had an absolute ball!

We woke up early; thankfully Breakfast was included… We needed something to cure us! After breakfast we checked our and headed into Bond St for a spot of shopping in the sun 🙂 PERFECT.

Those four important letters… F O O D

You would not think it if you were to judge by the size of me but I am simply obsessed with food. I am a vegetarian/pescatarian whatever you would like to label me as I do not eat meat only fish. A lot of people ask me why I do not eat meat and its just something that has never been attractive to me. I hope you are not munching on a whopping great chunk of steak whilst reading this but I feel like I am eating flesh when I eat meat. The texture is chewy and I just don’t enjoy eating it, actually meat to me is quite boring but hey thats my opinion. I gave up meat when I was 8 years old, I knew I didn’t like it and it was pointless eating something I was simply not enjoying. I tried meat again around the age of 15 and again last year, it was basically to confirm my dislike of meat, which was still there so I know wasn’t a fad. Being a vegetarian is not necessarily bad thing, it opens your eyes to new food, new recipes and for me its fun trying new things.

I LOVE sushi whether its Nobu, Aqua, Itsu, Yo Sushi or Boots meal deal I will never tire of eating it.

I try to eat healthily but I feel guilty being in these amazing restaurants and choosing a salad…  So I think ‘I might not come here again so I need to eat the best dish on the menu… oh and a desert… I will just have to have a super workout tomorrow’ :S

I believe you can eat everything you wish within moderation.

My local hang out is (Green Park) Mayfair so to list a few of my favourite places around this area to eat out would be Nobu, Novikov, Browns, Ritz, Carlton Club, Automat etc. One of the best restaurants on Dover St. has simply got to be Alloro. It is divine! Every single time I have been to this restaurant the food is exquisite and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive.  The last time I was there I had the vegetable soup for starters (fresh veg in a clear soup) Tuna Steak Chips and Salad for mains and mango sorbet for desert YUM!

I do not eat out in expensive restaurants all the time… If I did I would be broke but lucky for me I get taken out often by work/clients/friends which I am so grateful for! If I had to choose between paying for several slap up meals or a Chanel bag, as much as I would class food as a hobby, Fashion would win hands down.

OH and I am a MAJOR sugar addict but chocolate ,sweets, biscuits and all those other mouth watering ‘bad’ things are another chapter….
